Covid changed everybody. We Rebounded, galvanized by every piece of news with corresponding highs and lows. Yet despite the upheaval, there was still an undercurrent of optimism I chose to connect with. Though I struggled to push the boulder uphill, letting the rock flatten me on its way back down was to be avoided at all costs. I Reconnected with that which I knew to be good and uplifting.

Though I got mired in the fear and fallout generated by politics and the pandemic, like a sailboat tracking the good wind, I continued to steer upstream keeping hope alive. I believed we were undergoing a Rebirth.

I felt a Renaissance and a Resurrection taking place where optimism was arm-wrestling pessimism. Painting is what I can control and do to keep myself positive and moving forward with some semblance of progress.
